Flying, talking on the phone and shopping. Is there anything else to the life of a modern day lady? Why, yes there is! (more…)
The Wonderful Life of a Modern Day Lady
Tea Please, Jeeves
This piece of elegant jewellery, as many other pieces of elegant kitchee jewellery, was inspired by the ingenious stories by the witty P. G. Wodehouse. Wodehouse’s oh-so-delightful wee depictions of Mr Bertie Wooster’s and his trusted Jeeves’s adventures have a tendency to go amusingly wrong, as these two juggle between the responsibilities, etiquette and the leisurely lifestyle in the wild jungle that is the social scene of the late Edwardian upper classes. Summer of 1894 at Brinkley Court
Picture it; South of England in the summer of 1894. You are a young lady in your twenties visiting your uncle’s mansion at the countryside for the summer.
As time has proven, some things never change, and your schedule is as busy as someone’s living in 2010. Not convinced? We-heell, let Kitchee demonstrate. (more…)
Gamble at the Masquerade
Ever attended the dazzling Masquerade ball in Venice? Experienced its brilliance, secrets – its magnetic lure? Yeah, Kitchee either.
Still, Kitchee is rather sure that the annual masquerade is something quite spectacular. (more…)
QttBM! (Quick, to the Batmobile!)
Lilac tights, lotsa POW!s and singing pugs. That is what Batman was made of back in the day. Batman has definitely come a long way from the 70s’ campy awesomeness to the 90s’ and 00s’ gloomy seriousness.
Out of all the different versions of Batman, Burton’s twisted view of Gotham City and its malformed creatures spiked Kitchee’s interest the most. Subsequently, QttBM was born. (more…)

Ah! Cats; those allergy-inducing claw-y balls of fur(y)! Kitchee has consistently failed to spot the allure of these vexatious purring/killing machines and has made conscious effort to avoid contact with the domesticated carnivorous mammal. The dear reader understood correctly; Kitchee is not an ardent fan of the Felis catus. (more…)
Cupid’s Dream
This bracelet looks best with summer dresses, sunny faces and twinkly eyes. Good mood optional but advised. (more…)
Key to the Heart
The colour black has always been a fascinating one for Kitchee. It seems to bring depth to anything or anyone; give any plastic surgeon a black turtle neck to wear and they will look like an existential poet. Or alternatively, like an annoyingly vainglorious ‘artiste’.
Magical Forest
If elves existed, this bracelet is something you would see a fashionable member of the elven clan wearing. (more…)
Films Stars of Past •SOLD•
Why is it that sometimes the film stars of olden days seem more interesting than their contemporary counterparts? Well, one could analyse that into infinity, and due to past traumatising experiences of the academic kind, Kitchee is not going to even start. Feel free to post your own essays in the comments section, however. Word limit is 1500 words minimum.
